Formación profesional dual: una estrategia para reducir el desempleo juvenil

Abstract

A pesar de los esfuerzos por mejorar la empleabilidad de los jóvenes, el desempleo juvenil sigue siendo una problemática persistente y estructural en muchos países. Esta situación se agrava por la desconexión entre los sistemas educativos tradicionales y las demandas reales del mercado laboral, lo que genera una formación poco pertinente y escasas oportunidades de inserción laboral. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar el impacto de la formación profesional dual como estrategia para reducir el desempleo juvenil. Se empleó un enfoque cualitativo-descriptivo y se analizaron documentos sobre la formación profesional dual en Alemania, México, Ecuador y España, enfocándose en su impacto en la empleabilidad juvenil y en los factores que afectan su implementación. Dentro de los principales resultados se destaca que la formación profesional dual mejora la inserción laboral juvenil si existe colaboración efectiva entre escuelas y empresas. Sin embargo, enfrenta barreras como la baja participación empresarial, rigidez curricular y falta de capacitación docente. Para fortalecerla, se requieren reformas estructurales, incentivos, actualización educativa y mayor reconocimiento social del modelo.
