Abstract

La bibliografía dedicada al Mágreb en nuestro país continúa siendo escasa; de ahí el interés de una obra como ésta en la que se abordan cuestiones relevantes y se ofrecen claves de interpretación de la historia magrebí. Este volumen colectivo se enmarca en una renovada visión de la geografía y la población magrebíes, presentando para ello un conjunto de estudios con un marcado carácter interdisciplinar y una visión diacrónica del espacio norteafricano, pues aunque la mayor parte de los trabajos se sitúan en el periodo medieval, hay algunos que sobrepasan estos límites temporales. La historiografía, la geografía y toponimia, la etnonimia y onomástica así como la lengua amazige se dan cita en esta obra en la que no faltan la perspectiva arqueológica y la contribución al debate sobre procesos complejos como la arabización o los cambios en el paisaje. MAGNA. Una geografía cultural y humana del Mágreb ofrece una aportación científica significativa para todos aquellos interesados en el paisaje y la historia del norte de África.
