R Script to Download the Historical Data of Aggregated Price and Demand of National Electricity Market of Australia

Abstract

This R script will download all the historical half-hourly data of aggregated price and demand of all the states of national electricity market of Australia from the Australian Energy Market Operator website and saved into two separate csv file. The data starts from 2:00 AM of 7th of December, 1998 for New South Wales (abbreviated as NSW), Victoria (VIC), Queensland (QLD), South Australia. The data for Tasmania (TAS) starts from 2:00 PM of 15th of May, 2005.
