Abstract

Megalopinus biacuminiventris nov.sp. (Abb. 356) Typus material: Holotypus (): Venezuela: Aragua, Rancho Grande Biological Station, Pico Periquitos, 10 o 20’32’’N, 67 o 41’46’’W, 1100-1300m, fungusy log, 13. V. 1998, Ashe, Brooks & Hanley 009. 1 - Paratypus: Tachira, San Cristobol, 10 km SE, P. N. Chorro el Indio, 7 o 44’3’’N, 72 o 13’1’’W, 1320m, fungusy log, 29. V. 1998, idem 141. HT im KSEM, PT in cP. Beschreibung:wiebei M. bicuspidiventris nov.sp. Länge: 4,2-4,4mm (Vorderkörperlänge: 2,3-2,5mm). PM des HT: HW: 51; DE: 28; PW: 37, 5; PL: 38; EW: 59; EL: 47; SL: 35. Männchen: 11. Fühlerglied 4,8x so lang und 1,2x so breit wie das 10. Glied. Vordersternite einfach. 7. Sternit prinzipiell wie bei M. bicuspidiventris, die hintere Ausrandung etwa 1/3 so tief wie das Sternit lang, in der Mitte der Ausrandung ganz leicht vorgezogen, die spitzen Aussenecken etwa symmetrisch, leicht nach aussen gebogen. 8. Sternit am Hinterrand breit und flach geschwungen-klammerförmig. 10. Tergit fein punktuliert, mit mehreren wenig feinen Punkten. Aedoeagus (Abb. 356), dem der Arten M. bicuspidiventris nov.sp. und M. bispiniventris nov.sp. sehr ähnlich, die Sklerite aber apikal anders geformt. Weibchen: Unbekannt. Elytrenpunktierung: 5, 4/2(2)6; 4(1)4/2(1)4. Differenzial diagnose Diese neue Art lässt sich von M. bicuspidiventris nov.sp., M. bispiniventris nov.sp. und M. irrisor nov.sp. sicher nur durch die Sexualcharaktere des trennen. Wegen ihrer Elytrenzeichnung könnte man sie auch mit M. quinquemaculatus (BERNHAUER) verwechseln, der am selben Fundort gesammelt wurde; sie unterscheidet sich aber von ihm durch geringere Grösse, zahlreichere Elytrenpunkte und durchgängig punktierte zweite Querfurche des Pronotums. Etymologie: Wegen der zwei apikolateralen Spitzen des 6. Sternits des nenne ich diese neue Art "biacuminiventris" (Lat. = mit zwei Spitzen am Bauch).
