Abstract

A Bulimia Nervosa é um dos transtornos alimentares mais conhecidos que costuma trazer grandes riscos à saúde é descrito no Manual Diagnóstico e Estatístico de Transtornos Mentais (DSM-5), e pode desencadear impactos severos na vida dos pacientes. A Terapia cognitivo-comportamental adentra nesse meio psicoterapêutico do transtorno alimentar em prol ao seu melhoramento mediante ao tratamento da BN, ajudando no alívio dos sintomas e na reestruturação cognitiva, preservando o paciente em possíveis recaídas futuras ou durante o tratamento. Sendo uma das psicoterapias mais eficazes atualmente no tratamento dos TA’s. O objetivo do presente artigo é referir a grande importância da terapia cognitivo-comportamental no tratamento com pessoas que possuem Bulimia Nervosa. A pesquisa tem como fundamento um modelo de revisão narrativa, sendo submetida em uma análise interpretativa. Foram revisados os históricos referentes ao tema abordado, abrangendo conceitos amplos, assim como as contribuições da terapia cognitivo-comportamental no tratamento da BN. Foram utilizados artigos nas bases de dados da Scielo, Bvs, Pepsic, tendo como referência os anos de 1990 há 2022.
