Abstract

Cidadania e solidariedade são duas palavras que estão em alta na atualidade. São palavras que acenam para uma alternativa ao momento em que o Estado brasileiro e o mundo vivem. A cidadania acena para uma postura ativa diante do cuidar da esfera pública, já a solidariedade remete à cooperação entre as pessoas no sentido de manutenção da coesão social. Em um Estado republicano, a coesão social e a proatividade são essenciais, pois tal Estado requer a responsabilidade democrático-política de todos os membros da sociedade. O texto tem como objetivo estabelecer o vínculo entre a cidadania e a solidariedade. Duas instituições fundamentais para a república, pois a cidadania serve como elemento identificador do sujeito ativo (membro da comunidade) em uma república e a solidariedade o elemento que conecta os atores republicanos a partir da dinâmica da sociedade. É o cidadão solidário que interfere republicanamente no Estado para cuidar do bem e do interesse públicos. Trata-se de dois elementos compositores da vida em conjunto no Estado, principalmente republicano. Por conseguinte, o texto que se apresenta seguirá nesse horizonte. Trata-se de destacar a cidadania e a solidariedade. Porém, devido a amplitude da ideia de solidariedade, a abordagem se restringirá ao voluntariado, ou seja, a uma das manifestações da solidariedade. No que tange à cidadania, apresentar-se-á sua concepção e seus desdobramentos, no sentido de chamar o cidadão para a responsabilidade de pertencer a sociedade e para a necessidade de ser solidário. Contudo, não se defende que todos os cidadãos pratiquem o voluntariado, mas que todo voluntário se reveste da plenitude da cidadania. O texto é baseado em uma pesquisa bibliográfica e o método orientador utilizado é o analítico. Para realização dessa pesquisa, o método analítico é empregado com o objetivo de extrair as percepções tanto da cidadania como da solidariedade e utilizou-se o método bibliográfico, justamente, por ser a fonte das informações consideradas latentes para se poder chegar a conclusões, mesmo que provisórias. Dessa forma, a base bibliográfica serve para estabelecer as bases teóricas do tema.
