Genetic diversity of 33 wheat genotypes of Azerbaijan using 20 ISSR primers was studied in the current research. With these primers were amplified 350 DNA fragments, 318 (90.85%) of them exhibited polymorphism. Cluster analysis divided all genotypes into 5 main clusters according to Jaccard's similarity index. In total, the primers ISSR-8, ISSR-11 and ISSR-19 with the highest number of amplified bands, the highest number of polymorphic bands and the highest value of genetic diversity were recognized to be the most appropriate primers for studies related to genetic diversity of wheat populations
