PUNCH4NFDI initiated a discussion about the use and the established community procedures in the natural sciences, especially in physics, to keep their huge data collections accessible and identifiable for their scientific work, and where to use PIDs. The poster reflects some basics about data collections and data processing in Astrophysics and in High Energy Physic important for efficient application of PIDs. It has been presented at the CoRDI 2023.
