Das árvores do conhecimento aos rizomas e rukus: metáforas vegetais na organização relacional do conhecimento

Abstract

A árvore tem sido usada como metáfora-chave, desde a Idade Média, para figurar sistemas de representação do conhecimento. No entanto, o contexto sociotécnico contemporâneo demanda por ponderações que admitam outras representações dos modos como são produzidos, organizados, representados os saberes. Nesse sentido, o intuito deste texto é o de refletir sobre imagens arborescentes utilizadas historicamente como símbolo representacional das estruturas do conhecimento e, para além disso, conjeturar, no âmbito das discussões transversais que envolvem o plano da sociobiodiversidade envolto na produção do conhecimento, sobre algumas dessas representações utilizadas em diferentes contextos e tempos. Chega-se ao final, na representação do Rizoma proposto por G. Deleuze e F. Guatari, da árvore Baniana de S. Ranganathan e na árvore Ruku, representada na pintura “A descida da pajé Jenipapo do reino das medicinas”, (2021), produzida pelo artivista indígena da etnia Makuxi, Jaider Esbell. As considerações finais sugerem que, ao ampliarmos nossa compreensão sobre a árvore enquanto representação de relações e não das dicotomias ou hierarquias, poderemos perceber, com mais equidade, os arranjos sociais, plurais e cosmológicos dos saberes.
