DESAFIOS NA GESTÃO PÚBLICA DA SAÚDE INDÍGENA

Abstract

São grandes os desafios enfrentados pelos povos indígenas frente às vulnerabilidades socioeconômicas, saúde, conflitos territoriais, além da diversidade cultural. Mediante uma análise crítica e reflexiva a pesquisa tem por objetivo, conhecer o contexto histórico de políticas públicas de saúde indígena no Brasil, identificar como se organiza o Subsistema de Atenção à Saúde Indígena (SASI) no Sistema único de Saúde (SUS) através dos Distritos Sanitários Especiais Indígenas (DSEI), refletir sobre a gestão pública na saúde indígena, analisar os repasses financeiros disponibilizados ao longo dos anos pelo governo federal à saúde indígena que mesmo diante dos avanços e recursos ofertadas ainda há muitos desafios no que se refere a gestão do subsistema da saúde dos povos indígenas. Esses fatores aumentam ainda mais o potencial de disseminação de doenças, condições particulares que atingem essas populações, como a dificuldade de acesso aos serviços de saúde, distância geográfica, indisponibilidade ou insuficiência de equipes de saúde. Os dados foram coletados através de pesquisas bibliográficas em sites, artigos e publicações na internet. Conclui-se que a superação dos desafios da gestão pública na saúde indígena, depende da estruturação de um novo modelo de atenção e de gestão que possibilite a implementação efetiva de um Subsistema de Saúde Indígena vinculado ao SUS e orçamentários específicos e suficientes para execução de políticas públicas.
