This deliverable contains a detailed description of protocols and metadata schemes which are relevant for the NFDI4Earth. Protocols provide technological interoperability between Earth System Science (ESS) research data infrastructures, and common metadata schemes and vocabularies add semantic interoperability on top. The goal of this deliverable is on the one hand to provide a compact overview of these resource information types; compact information which afterwards shall be represented in the NFDI4Earth Knowledge Hub (KH). On the other hand, the deliverable describes how interoperability between the KH itself and ESS infrastructures can be reached by using established protocols for metadata harvesting and ensuring that the metadata schema of the KH is compatible with widely used vocabularies and schemas.
This work has been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) through the project NFDI4Earth (DFG project no.460036893, https://www.nfdi4earth.de/) within the German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI, https://www.nfdi.de/).

citations This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0
popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average
influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average
impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
