A genome-wide association study reveals novel SNP markers associated with resilience traits in two Mediterranean dairy sheep breeds

Abstract

Genotype datasets (.ped and .map files) including phenotypes of body condition score (BCS), lactation persistency (LP) and logarithmically-transformed milk somatic cell count (SCC) from 317 Chios and 346 Frizarta dairy ewes. Genotypic data of Chios sheep (relevant files: chios_BCS.map, chios_BCS.ped, chios_logSCC.map, chios_logSCC.ped, chios_LP.map, chios_LP.ped) were funded by iSAGE project (EU H2020 Grant Agreement No 679302), whereas genotypic data of Frizarta sheep (relevant files: friz_BCS.map, friz_BCS.ped, friz_logSCC.map, friz_logSCC.ped, friz_LP.map, friz_LP.ped) by SMARTER project (EU H2020 Grant Agreement No 772787).
