Abstract

A presente pesquisa tem como objecto de estudo a educação ambiental em Angola. Nela, procurou-se analisar o processo de formação da consciência ecológica dos alunos de uma instituição do ensino primário na província de Cabinda, o Complexo Escolar Mamã Muxima, a partir das experiências pedagógicas dos professores. A pesquisa visou responder a seguinte pergunta: Como é que as experiências pedagógicas dos professores têm contribuído para a formação da consciência ecológica dos alunos do ensino primário do Complexo Escolar Mamã Muxima? Nisso, perspectivou-se analisar as metodologias e/ou estratégias utilizadas pelos professores do Complexo Escolar Mamã Muxima para a formação da consciência ecológica dos alunos. O texto que informa a pesquisa é de abordagem qualitativa, assente numa pesquisa bibliográfica e em entrevistas semi-estruturadas aplicadas aos professores que trabalham com alunos do ensino primário; utilizou-se também a observação não participante. Os resultados da pesquisa evidenciam que os professores identificaram a sua formação/capacitação contínua e a indisponibilidade de material didáctico-pedagógico como os principais obstáculos/desafios à formação da consciência ecológica dos alunos.
