Abstract

Este artículo científico aborda la persistente corrupción en el sistema judicial ecuatoriano. La investigación incluye diversos participantes, como ciudadanos, abogados, jueces y funcionarios judiciales, con el propósito de analizar la percepción de la corrupción, identificar áreas problemáticas y sugerir soluciones. La corrupción, influida por factores políticos y económicos y la falta de transparencia, afecta al sistema judicial. La percepción generalizada y negativa de la corrupción se refleja en que más del 60% considera un problema serio y el 55% cree que afecta la imparcialidad. Preocupaciones identificadas incluyen falta de citación adecuada, aplicación irregular de prisión preventiva y deficiencias en jueces y fiscales. Factores que contribuyen a la corrupción son falta de transparencia, influencia política, baja remuneración y escasa supervisión. Las soluciones propuestas abarcan programas de formación ética, mayor transparencia en selección de jueces, mejor remuneración y fortalecimiento de mecanismos de control. Como conclusión se determinó que la corrupción judicial ecuatoriana afecta la imparcialidad, la confianza y la democracia. La investigación destaca la necesidad de reformas integrales para combatir la corrupción y restaurar la confianza en la justicia.
