Okul Müdürlerinin Değer Merkezli Liderlik Davranışlarını Gösterme Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Abstract In the study, it was aimed to determine the level of school principals' value-centered leadership behaviors according to the opinions of teachers. The survey model, which is a quantitative method, was used in the research. The sample of the research is 375 teachers working in high schools in Malatya in November 2022. “Value-Centered Leadership Scale (DMLÖ)” developed by Karasu (2014) was used as a data collection tool in the research. The data obtained from the research were analyzed with the SPSS 24.0 program. In the study, it was determined that according to the opinions of the teachers, there was a statistical difference in the value-centered leadership behaviors of the school principals according to the teachers' gender, marital status, age, school type, seniority, branch and education level. While it is seen that the opinions of female teachers about the school principals behaving in accordance with ethical values and giving importance to institutional values intensified, male teachers focused on influencing school principals with values, giving importance to professional values and having personal values. In the study, it was also concluded that the increase in age may cause a decrease in the attention to value-centered leadership behaviors, the attitudes of teachers towards value-centered school principal behaviors differ with the increase in seniority level, and vocational course and undergraduate teachers feel the value-centered leadership behaviors of school principals more intensely.
