DIAGNÓSTICO E TRATAMENTO DA DIABETES MELLITUS GESTACIONAL: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA

Abstract

O Diabetes Mellitus (DM), configura-se atualmente, por conta da sua crescente incidência, como uma epidemia mundial. O Diabetes Mellitus Gestacional (DMG), é caracterizada como qualquer grau de intolerância à glicose, com início ou primeiro reconhecimento durante a gestação. A prevalência de DMG varia de 1 a 14%. Em média 7% de todas as gestações estão associadas a DMG. O objetivo deste trabalho científico é mostrar e avaliar como é realizado o tratamento do DMG. Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa de literatura em que foram pesquisados artigos científicos nas seguintes plataformas: PubMed, SciELO e Portal de Periódicos da CAPES. Para este estudo, de caráter exploratório, foram elencados, através da plataforma Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS), os seguintes descritores para a pesquisa: diabetes mellitus, diabetes gestacional, tratamento farmacológico, assistência integral à saúde, diagnóstico e equipe de assistência ao paciente. Durante o tratamento do DMG, as gestantes podem utilizar o tratamento nutricional e medicamentoso. Ambas opções de tratamento, apresentaram-se eficazes, porém, no tratamento medicamentoso, alguns medicamentos apresentaram alguns riscos e outros medicamentos apresentaram eficácia e segurança. Com esse trabalho, portanto, foi possível observar a importância do profissional de saúde durante o tratamento do DMG, pois, com o apoio do profissional da saúde, a paciente sempre terá uma boa opção de tratamento, seguindo garantindo sempre a eficácia e segurança do tratamento que for indicado.
