CALIOP V4 has been used to calculate the supercooled liquid fraction (SLF) of the cloud top (considered as the highest cloud layer below a cloud optical thickness (COT) of 0.3) and the cloud bulk (considered as the highest part of the cloud with 0 < COT < 3) in 9 isotherms, from 0°C to -40°C with temperature intervals of 5°C, globally and for the polar regions (from 66° to 82°) in the period from June 2009 to May 2013. Seasonal SLF profiles and geographical distributions of SLF and COT are also provided. SLF is computed as the fraction of liquid pixels and the sum of liquid and ice pixels.
