TRANSTORNOS MENTAIS COMUNS EM ESTUDANTES DE MEDICINA NO BRASIL: UMA REVISÃO

Abstract

A saúde mental dos estudantes de Medicina no Brasil tem suscitado atenção crescente na literatura científica, revelando preocupações sobre seu bem-estar emocional e psicológico. O presente artigo analisa diversos estudos transversais conduzidos com alunos de Medicina em diferentes regiões do Brasil. Evidencia-se uma alta prevalência de transtornos mentais, particularmente nos primeiros anos do curso. Fatores individuais, como gênero feminino e hábitos de vida insalubres, bem como fatores acadêmicos, como insatisfação com o desempenho e preocupações com atrasos na graduação, foram consistentemente associados a maiores riscos de transtornos mentais. A análise enfatiza a necessidade de abordagens institucionais para apoiar a saúde mental dos estudantes, incluindo serviços de aconselhamento e revisão de currículos. A criação de ambientes acadêmicos acolhedores e de suporte pode não só beneficiar o bem-estar dos alunos, mas também produzir médicos mais resilientes e preparados para a prática profissional.
