Contribución de la transversalidad en la formación integral de los estudiantes

Abstract

El análisis de los significados que tienen los docentes en ejercicio en cuanto a las teorías educativas que sustentan la concepción sobre transversalidad, genera este artículo que tiene como finalidad analizar la contribución de la transversalidad en la formación integral de los estudiantes. La investigación se tipificó como documental, donde, se establecieron relaciones, posturas o estado actual del conocimiento respecto al tema objeto de estudio. Los temas transversales planteados como referencia a problemas y conflictos de gran trascendencia, son contenidos que han de desarrollarse dentro de las áreas curriculares, desde una doble perspectiva acercándolas y contextualizándolas en ámbitos relacionados con la realidad y con los problemas del mundo actual, con una aplicación inmediata respecto a la comprensión y a la posible transformación positiva de dichos problemas. Asimismo, las teorías educativas que sustentan la concepción sobre Transversalidad orientaron la generación de una replicación teórica como vía para la Formación Integral, se menciona tácitamente las teorías educativas que permiten la inclusión de la transversalidad en un recorrido que va desde el cognitivismo hasta el constructivismo pedagógico. En igual forma las contribuciones que hace la Transversalidad a la Formación Integral, al integrar el ser, hacer, conocer y convivir a lo largo del proceso de formación, de forma interdisciplinaria, global y significativa. En cuanto a la dimensión social sirve de eje a cuyo alrededor giran los demás aprendizajes o de manera imperceptible y más allá de límites disciplinares impregnan el plan de estudio de valores y actitudes que constituyen la esencia de la formación personal, tanto en lo individual como en lo social. En su interrelación desarrolla nuevos espacios que supera el currículo asignaturista y permite el abordaje de temas y problemas necesarios en el proceso formativo de todo ser humano.
