this paper contains a case study on the digitization of businesses in the financial and insurance activities sector. The purpose of the research is to study the possibilities of intensifying the digitization of companies in the financial and insurance sector. Just as digitization represents an approach taken at national level in order to increase national competitiveness, companies in this sector must intensify their actions to implement ICT strategies in their activity, implement various software that would help companies in this sector to and increase the level of competitiveness and achieve increased performance in the field. The research methodology focused on the use of several research methods, such as: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, abduction, comparative analysis. In conclusion, we can mention that companies in the financial and insurance sector must digitize their activities, by implementing specialized programs that will help companies to increase the efficiency of serving their customers, increase customer satisfaction, as well as increase the level of competitiveness and the economic performances achieved.
