UpdateFDM

Abstract

Die Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin untersuchte im DFG geförderten Verbundprojekt FDNext die Frage, wie Services für das Forschungsdatenmanagement (FDM) von Dienstleistern wie Rechen- und Medienzentren oder Universitätsbibliotheken ausgewählt und evaluiert werden können. Während der dreijährigen Projektlaufzeit entstand das Reifegradmodell UpdateFDM für Services im FDM, das das FDM Serviceportfolio strategisch evaluierbar und Entwicklungspotenziale sichtbar macht. Das Modell besteht aus einem Fragenkatalog ("01_UpdateFDM-Fragenkatalog.xslx") sowie verschiedener Matrizen zur grafischen Abbildung der Reife ("02_UpdateFDM-Matrizen.pptx"). Anwendung: Die Begleitpublikation "UpdateFDM – Evaluierung von Forschungsdatenservices und -infrastrukturen" ("03_UpdateFDM-Begleitpublikation") stellt eine Beschreibung zur Anwendung des Modells UpdateFDM dar. Die Antworten müssen vor dem Hintergrund des zu evaluierenden Services gegeben werden. Anschließend werden die Ergebnisse (=Anzahl der "Ja-Antworten") in die Matrizen übertragen. Hinweis: Die Matrizen haben unterschiedliche Schwerpunkte. In der Servicematrix werden die Ergebnisse der einzelnen Fragengruppen (=ITSM-Praktiken) abgebildet, die einer Teilreife entsprechend. Mit der FDM-Serviceportfolio- sowie der FDM-Strategiematrix wird die Reife des gesamten Services in Bezug auf das FDm-Portfolio bzw. die FDM-Strategie abgebildet. Zur Bestimmung der Reife des gesamten Services muss der Durchschnitt der vorher ermittelten Teilreife gebildet werden (siehe oben genannte Publikation: Lehmann et al., S. 337).
