Digitaal burgerschap biedt kansen voor vernieuwing van de bibliotheek

Abstract

Het thema digitaal burgerschap staat bij veel bibliotheken op de agenda. Daarbij ligt de nadruk veelal op thema’s als mediawijsheid, cyberveiligheid en Maakplaatsen, en minder bij thema’s zoals AI, desinformatie en creatieve technologie. Dat blijkt uit onderzoek van de KB, uitgevoerd via de Bibliotheekmonitor. Om digitaal burgerschap in de toekomst een stevige plek te geven binnen het aanbod, verwachten bibliotheken meer geld, tijd en expertise nodig te hebben dan nu aanwezig is.
