Poster presented at the 2023 Earth Space Information Partners July meeting in Burlington, VT. The American Geophysical Union is committed to leading in open science, data and software while maintaining high standards of quality and scientific integrity. In collaboration with the AGU community and organizations such as ESIP, AGU works towards the culture change needed for the preservation of research data and software with appropriate curation, credit and attribution, through mechanisms including policy change, incentives and education. Here, we present and solicit feedback on changes we've observed in researcher preservation of data and software in tandem with new AGU Publishing policies on data and software sharing and discuss further directions we're undertaking to support open science, data and software in the Earth, space, and environmental sciences.
