Les effets de la synergie des médias sur l'intention de pratiquer les gestes barrières : le cas du gel hydroalcoolique au Cameroun

Abstract

La lutte contre la pandémie de la covid-19 en Afrique au Sud du Sahara mobilise l’ensemble des médias (traditionnels et online) et pose nécessairement la question de l’impact des effets de synergie dans la promotion de l’adoption de gestes barrières, et du changement de comportement face à la pandémie. L’objectif de cette recherche est d’évaluer les effets de la synergie des médias TV et des réseaux sociaux sur le changement d’attitude et l’intention d’adopter des gestes barrières. A partir d’un échantillon de 102 utilisateurs de gel antibactérien dans la ville de Douala au Cameroun, nous avons évalué à l’aide d’un modèle d’équations structurelles, les effets de la synergie des médias sur le changement d’attitude et l’intention d’achat du gel antibactérien par les utilisateurs. Les résultats indiquent une absence d’effet de synergie entre médias traditionnels et médias online dans la campagne anti covid de la marque Bactol. De plus, la campagne online a peu d’effets sur l’attitude des consommateurs, contrairement aux médias traditionnels. Par conséquent, nos recommandations visent à orienter l’action des managers de la marque vers la construction de synergies en amorçant la campagne à partir des médias en ligne, qui possèdent l’avantage de favoriser la réactivité de la cible, et de continuer ensuite avec les médias traditionnels qui sont plus crédibles dans le contexte africain.
