Análisis exploratorio del instrumento Community and Socio-Political Participation Scale en estudiantes universitarios venezolanos

Abstract

Resumen Hoy en día se observa en diferentes comunidades del mundo, grupos de personas que se encuentran trabajando para generar cambios y conseguir un bien común en la sociedad donde viven, esto lo podemos llamar participación social. Se puede definir como la intervención de los ciudadanos en la toma de decisiones respecto al manejo de los recursos y las acciones que tienen un impacto en el desarrollo de sus comunidades. El presente trabajo tuvo por objetivo realizar un análisis exploratorio del instrumento Community and Socio-Political Participation Scale en estudiantes universitarios venezolanos. Se fundamentó en autores como Albalá, Guido y Biglieri (2019); Moreno-Jiménez, Ríos y Vallejo (2013); Hidalgo, Moreno-Jiménez y Quiñorero (2011); Funes y Adell (2009). Para esta investigación participaron voluntariamente 325 alumnos (48,6% masculinos y 51,4% femeninos) de la Universidad Simón Bolívar, Sede del Litoral y del Instituto Técnico Jesús Obrero. La metodología utilizada tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo. Se trató de un estudio no experimental, descriptivo y transversal. Se encontró que el instrumento aplicado en los jóvenes que conformaron la muestra no se adapta al original, ya que según este estudio el material utilizado debe contener solamente 8 ítems, el cual resulta satisfactorio y parcialmente consistente con investigaciones teóricas y empíricas relacionadas con el constructo para la evaluación de la participación social de estudiantes universitarios venezolanos.
