Abstract

Was die Bauausstellung für die große Architektur ist, bietet die Bundesgartenschau (BUGA) für das grüne Gestalten: Raum für Experiment. In der Nachkriegszeit startete das Projekt 1951 in Hannover, um im Schnitt alle zwei Jahre durch (fast) alle Bundesländer zu wandern. Auch die DDR zeigte ihre grünen Innovationen regelmäßig zur Internationalen Gartenbauausstellung in Erfurt. Ab den 1990er Jahren wechselte man nicht nur zwischen Austragungsorten in Ost- und Westdeutschland, sondern nahm auch den kleinstädtischen und ländlichen Raum in den Blick. Oft prägen die Errungenschaften der einzelnen BUGAs bis heute die jeweilige grüne Stadtlandschaft. Was das Ereignis an futuristischen Kleinarchitekturen, idyllischen Gartenbahnen, grafischen Gestaltungen und abgedrehten Werbeartikeln hervorgebracht hat, versammelt der diesjährige mR-Adventskalender - wie sich das gehört, Tag für Tag, Türchen für Türchen - in Bildern und kurzen Texten: hier auf der Homepage und auf unseren Social-Media-Kanälen ab dem 1.
