सर्वाइकल स्पॉन्डिलाइटिस और योग चिकित्सा

सर्वाइकल स्पॉन्डिलाइटस की समस्या स्पाइन के सबसे उपरी भाग सर्वाइकल स्पाइन में होती है। यह समस्या गर्दन के आसपास के मेरुदंड की हड्डिडयों की असामान्य बढ़ोतरी और सर्वाइकल वेटेब्रा के बीच के कुशनों इंटरवटेबल डिस्क में कैल्शियम का डी-जेनरेशन, बहिःक्षेपण तथा सर्वाइकल क्षेत्र में फुलाव अथवा सूजन और अपने स्थान से सरकने की वजह से होता है। वेटेब्रा के बीच के कुशनों के डी-जेनरेशन से नसों पर दबाव पड़ता है और इससे सर्वाइकल स्पॉन्डिलाइटस के लक्षण दिखते हैं। यह समस्या स्पाइन के सबसे उपरी भाग सर्वाइकल स्पाइन में होती है। सामान्यतः 4वीं, 5वीं, 5वीं-6टी, 6टी-7वीं के बीच डिस्क का सर्वाइकल वेटेब्रा अधिक प्रभावित होता है। आज योग चिकित्सा में अनेकानेक शोध किये जा रहे है। जिस कारण आज योग चिकित्सा का महत्व बढ़ता ही जा रहा है। जितना योग का अध्यात्म में महत्व है उतना ही योग शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य के लिए भी महत्वपूर्ण है।
