This article describes the activities of the state museums of the Republic of Uzbekistan during the years of independence and their achievements on the example of the state museums of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The article also talks about the reforms carried out by our country for the development of museum business over the years of independence. In particular, to provide our museums with highly qualified specialists in accordance with modern innovative requirements, to strengthen their material and technical base, using the experience of world museology, it is told about the work being done to make them one of the world's leading museums that meet international standards.
