Abstract

Despite significant progress in diabetes treatment in recent years, achieving glycemic control targets remains difficult for a high percentage of people with type 1 diabetes. To achieve this, different technologies are being developed, some focused on glucose measurement, while others deal with insulin delivery. Automated insulin delivery systems have proven to be the most effective technology for optimizing metabolic control and could be the key to achieving glycemic control in these patients.
