Yvette Vaucher hat mit ihrem Mann Michel und dem Zermatter Führer Othmar Kronig am 13. und 14. Juli 1965 als erste Frau die Nordwand des Matterhorns auf der klassisch gewordenen Route der Gebrüder Schmid durchstiegen.
