Degus is related to rodents, used in experiments, including researches into programme of investigations of diabetes. In degus shape and topography of heart are not described in literature. With the purpose studing its shape and topography, their specific features I conducted investigation on deguses of 3 months old of both sexes, which were fixed in 10% neutral formalin, by means of preparation and photography of heart and its surroundings. In degus heart has mainly such anatomical characteristics as in man and white rat but with some specific features. Wide heart of degus with enough wide apex has wedge shape. Its position approaches to transverse. Large right auricle of heart with connection with ending of very large coronary sinus in degus into its right atrium causes displacement ascending aorta on dorsal side of the pulmonary trunk.
