Abstract

A escrita versa sobre o ensino integrado de Língua Inglesa, conteúdo escolar e Educação Ambiental e em Saúde desenvolvido com alunos do 2º Ano do Ensino Fundamental I da rede pública do município de Ijuí/ RS. Investigou-se a relação entre teoria e prática na construção e aplicação de uma unidade temática chamada The Neighborhood: Environment and Health, como alternativa didático-metodológica para o ensino e aprendizagem de Língua Inglesa integrada a conteúdo escolar. O desenvolvimento de uma Storyline implica na construção de uma história (contexto, personagens e enredo), em que os conteúdos escolares são incorporados de maneira interdisciplinar articulando os saberes curriculares de diferentes áreas do conhecimento. Assim, o contexto que permeou a construção da Storyline, foi o Banhado Knebel, localizado próximo a escola, e os personagens foram construídos para conduzir questões relativas à educação ambiental e promoção da saúde. O aporte teórico-metodológico compreende os pressupostos da Abordagem Storyline e da perspectiva histórico-cultural. A pesquisa é qualitativae se caracteriza como estudo de caso. Observou-se na construção e desenvolvimento da Storyline, osconteúdos escolares, linguísticos e as habilidades comunicativas em língua inglesa nas falas e atividades realizadas pelos sujeitos envolvidos na pesquisa.
