Abstract

Introdução: A lipodistrofia ginóide, popularmente conhecida como celulite, afeta a maioria das mulheres e é considerada uma preocupação estética. Caracterizada pela aparência ondulada e irregular da pele devido ao acúmulo de gordura, a celulite é classificada em graus de I a III. O objetivo desta revisão foi destacar a importância e eficácia do uso do ultrassom no tratamento da lipodistrofia ginóide. Métodos e resultados: Foi realizada uma revisão da literatura, resultando em um total de 139 artigos encontrados em bancos de dados. Após a leitura dos títulos e resumos, 127 artigos foram descartados. A leitura completa dos 12 artigos restantes foi realizada, selecionando-se 8 artigos que atendiam às diretrizes para compor o desenvolvimento e objetivo do estudo. Conclusão: Com base nos estudos analisados, conclui-se que o ultrassom é uma abordagem terapêutica benéfica para reduzir a lipodistrofia ginóide. Essa técnica é segura e quando combinada com uma alimentação adequada e exercícios físicos, pode promover resultados estéticos mais satisfatórios. Além disso, mesmo quando utilizado de forma isolada, o ultrassom mostrou-se eficaz no tratamento da lipodistrofia ginóide. No entanto, é importante destacar a necessidade de mais pesquisas para aprimorar as diretrizes de aplicação do ultrassom e entender melhor seus mecanismos de ação.
