У статті через призму концепту «інтелектуальної біографії» аналізується постать визначного працівника галузі культури, Героя України Михайла Івановича Сікорського. Йдеться про аспекти, пов’язані з його професійною діяльністю. Окреслено напрямки наукового та творчого пошуку. Зауважено на таких сферах: історія, археологія, етнографія, музеєтворення, експозиційна робота, експедиційна та громадська діяльність. Наголошено на процесі формування музейного комплексу в Переяславі, вказано на тематичну спрямованість музеїв, типологію музейних об’єктів, пам’яток тощо. Зазначається про актуальність подальшого опрацювання масиву джерел та вивчення різнобічних аспектів життя музейного діяча. Through the concept of «intellectual biography», the article analyzes the figure of a prominent cultural worker, Hero of Ukraine Mykhailo Ivanovich Sikorskyi. It is about aspects related to his professional activity. The directions of scientific and creative research are outlined. Noted in the following areas: history, archeology, ethnography, museum creation, exposition work, expeditionary and public activities. The process of forming a museum complex in Pereiaslav is emphasized, the thematic orientation of museums, the typology of museum objects, monuments, etc. are indicated. It is noted the relevance of further processing of the array of sources and the study of various aspects of the life of a museum worker.
