5G in Produktion und Logistik: Erwartungen, Potenziale und Anwendungen

Abstract

Schneller, zuverlässiger und besser. Die Versprechungen zur neuen, fünften Mobilfunkgeneration sind groß. Keiner anderen Technologie wird mehr zugetraut, die digitalen Transformation von Produktion und Logistik so sehr zu beschleunigen, wieder Technologie 5G. Zahlreiche industrielle Anwendungsmöglichkeiten (Use Cases) stehen in den Startlöchern. Sie bauen darauf auf, eine intelligente, digital vernetzte Produktion in Echtzeit zu realisieren. Laut der Definition des deutschen Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) fordert Industrie 4.0 eine Vernetzung von autonomen, sich situativ selbst steuernden, sich selbst konfigurierenden, wissensbasierten, sensorgestützten und räumlich verteilten Produktionsressourcen.
