Abstract

Cet article s’inscrit dans une réflexion méthodologique de la théorie fondée sur les faits (Baszanger, 2021). Ceux d’une recherche qualitative mettant en rapport les conflits autour des territoires (foncier, marketing touristique, territoire de vie, espace de projets mondialisé et à la carte), L’objectif de ce texte vise à croiser les situations à propos des conceptions d’aménagements touristiques et résidentiels dans un espace politiquement préférentiel et mondialisé implanté verticalement au sein d’un espace rural littoral de vie et de relations traditionnelles (commune de Taghazout) dans la périphérie nord d’Agadir. La mondialisation induit, via le tourisme, de nouvelles mises aux normes influencées par des logiques néolibérales rentables certes ; mais qui ramifient et complexifient les inégalités socio-spatiales. Quels impacts alors sur les formations sociales locales, sur la durabilité environnementale, les changements climatiques, la destinée des marges des grandes villes comme Agadir ? Pour répondre à ces questionnements, un travail de terrain empirique était nécessaire pour approcher des clivages entre les concepteurs néolibéraux du projet touristique et résidentiel de Taghazout Bay et la société locale en stigmatisation, exacerbée face à un bricolage dans le traitement des marges périphériques. Ainsi, une enquête par échantillonnage aléatoire fut menée en 2019 auprès de 150 ménages, 260 touristes et quelque 25 hôteliers. Une autre enquête spécifique a ciblé parallèlement une trentaine de « Beach Boys ».
