Epigenome-wide association studies (EWAS) were performed using whole-blood methylation and self-report disease data (prevalent disease) for 14 conditions at the study baseline of Generation Scotland. Furthermore, EWAS were performed on 19 incident conditions using electronic health record linkage to ascertain diagnoses following the study baseline.
