Abstract

La angustia, esa separación entre el querer y el deber que acompaña a la tirantez entre el Ello y el Superyó, suele ser vista desde una perspectiva que facilite el diagnóstico y el tratamiento. Sin embargo, la misma desconoce el impacto de las creencias inconscientes que sustentan a las creencias manifiestas sobre las que se configuran los relatos; exigiéndose el análisis de las primeras. En la clínica he recibido pacientes que, durante las primeras sesiones, se han mostrado con rasgos de neurosis, ansiedad, temblores, dudas, temores y contradicciones. Sin embargo, al indagar en sus características naturales y apartarme de lo que se suponía que el diagnóstico y el curso de la sesión debería exponer, pude hallar junto a ellos sus motivaciones reales y configurar un ambiente terapéutico acorde a su perspectiva sobre la vida, obteniendo como resultado un rápido avance que los animó a atreverse a iniciar cambios en su vida personal y de relación, más allá de las limitaciones, dudas, creencias y resistencias con las que sostenían sus relatos en cada sesión. Curiosamente, en pocos encuentros, no sólo hubo avances visibles sino cambios en la frecuencia de los mismos, con el objetivo explícito de querer experimentar esto nuevo que estaban permitiéndose descubrir. Tan solo por haber repreguntado desde otra perspectiva, la existencia de la pregunta misma pareció permitir el surgimiento de un significado inesperado, motivador y liberador. Esto lleva la máxima bioniana de la técnica “sin memoria, sin deseo y sin comprensión” a otro nivel en el que el análisis debe contactar con el paciente.
