SPHY-MMF is a spatially distributed model that simulates the most relevant hydrological and erosional processes on a cell-by-cell basis and is applied at a daily time step. The model is written in the Python programming language using the PCRaster dynamic modelling framework (https://pcraster.geo.uu.nl/). This version of the model includes a new water routing algorithm, a modification of the sediment transport module and a novel channel morphodynamics module.
