Our current research has sought to study the most important humanitarian issues of a sacred and very important segment in all the heavenly religions and human societies, namely the elderly, and their most important health problems and diseases are known in their advanced age and old age, and what are the effects of these problems on their mental health, which is the ultimate goal of human resources in all parts of the world According to the sources available for this in the theoretical literature, starting from the divine messages and the Islamic religion, then the humanistic, social, legal and psychological theory, and the definition of this segment in general and in Iraq in particular, the research included four methodological chapters that included the definition of the research and identify its problem, importance, goals and terminology, and then the literature The most important psychological theories that explained their conditions, especially the elderly in Iraqi society, and the most important laws that were legislated for them, as well as the definition of the concept of mental health of the elderly and the effects of their health problems on them, and to clarify some of the auxiliary measures to alleviate them preventively and medically, then come to conclusions, and give the best recommendations and proposals to those who are interested in this sacred segment.
