Type locality. Spain (Canary Isl.): “Kanarien. ♁ Type Coll. m. (Tenerife, 24.II.1951)”. Holotype, ♀: Tenerife Las Galletas 24.2.1951 J M Fernandez // Omalus Philoctetes tenerifensis Lins. det. Linsenmaier 1958 (ex type-collection) // NML_ENT GBIF_Chr0001707. Remarks. The type is a female and not a male.
