Abstract

Potamotrygon adamastor Fontenelle & Carvalho, 2017 Holotype: MZUSP 104662; adult female, 542 mm DW (approximately the same DW as cited in Fontenelle & Carvalho, 2017) (Fig. 8); Rio Uraricoera —tributary of Rio Branco, Boa Vista municipality, Roraima state, Brazil; 3º22’52’’N, 60º35’44’’W; depth not listed; M. R. de Carvalho et al.; 21 Feb 2007. Notes: Cut on right portion of abdomen; Cut on left gill openings; lateral corners of Meckel’s cartilage sectioned to allow opening of the mouth. Field no. AM 07-45. Paratype: MZUSP 104664: AM07-47; one adult female, 450 mm DW (same DW as cited in Fontenelle & Carvalho, 2017); Rio Uraricoera —tributary of Rio Branco, Boa Vista municipality, Roraima state, Brazil, 3º22’96’’N, 60º35’44’’W; depth not listed; M.
