KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND PRACTICE OF HEPATITIS B INFECTION PREVENTION AMONG HEALTH CARE WORKERS.

Hepatitis B is a viral infection that attacks the liver and can cause both acute and chronic disease. The virus is transmitted through contact with the blood or other body fluids of an infected person. Health care workers (HCWs) are at high risk of HBV infection in the health care settings. The prevalence rate of HBV in HCWs is about 2–10 times higher than the general populations in the world. (Hassan Abdullahi Dahie, 2017).
