CULTURA INVESTIGATIVA EN CIENCIAS DEL DEPORTE Y SU IMPACTO EN LA SALUD Y ENFERMEDAD

Abstract

Objetivo: analizar los avances investigativos en actividad física y deporte (AFyD); y su impacto favorable en la salud y enfermedad, aplicando un diseño de investigación documental mediante revisión bibliográfica especializada. Método: la revisión de la literatura usó bases de datos de revistas indizadas, mediante uso de palabras clave pertinentes, operadores booleanos y fórmulas de búsqueda con términos estandarizados. Se incluyeron artículos de los últimos cinco años. Resultados: los hallazgos demostraron que la AFyD produce beneficios en diversos órganos y sistemas produciendo mejoras del funcionamiento articular, muscular, respiratorio, cardiovascular, hormonal, nervioso, etc.; mientras que frente a estados patológicos o vejez produce mitigación de estas alteraciones, mejoras de la calidad de vida, reducción del riesgo de infartos cardiacos y cerebrales, mejora el razonamiento y aprendizaje. Discusión: la AFyD contribuye a prevenir enfermedades cardiovasculares, cáncer y diabetes; reduce la depresión, ansiedad; y también se ha evidenciado que personas con baja AFyD poseen un riesgo de mortalidad 20-30% mayor que personas con nivel adecuado de AFyD, mientras que en pacientes con factores de riesgo cardiovascular se observó que, a mayor AFyD, mayor supervivencia. Conclusiones: se evidenció que participar en AFyD genera beneficios inmediatos y mediatos en salud y enfermedad.
