(52°05’53”N 117°02’24”E), 8.VII.2020, 1 ♀ (GenBank ID: OK073119), I. Makhov [ZIN]. Distribution. Siberian–Far Eastern, subboreal. From Irkutskaya Oblast to Primorye, Sakhalin Isl. and Kuriles. Outside Russia in Korea, Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Tsushima Isl.), N China (Beijing). Hostplants: Fagaceae (Beljaev 2016), hostplants in the Baikal region are unknown. Genetic note. COI sequences were obtained from two females collected in Irkutskaya Oblast (Bolshye Koty vill.) and Zabaikalsky Kray (Dunayevo vill.). These barcodes were found to be almost identical to the ‘ C. quadrinotata Butler, 1889 ’ and ‘ C. cassidara (Guenée, 1858) ’ which are available in BoLD. I checked the record details of the specimen GWOTL766-13 (identified as C. cassidara by Xue Dayong), examined its image and concluded that this sample does not correspond to the features of C. cassidara, which have reddish-brown forewing tornal patch and hindwing apical patch (Han et al. 2012). The specimen GWOTL766-13 evidently belongs to C. amoenaria. The image of MF052099 identified as C. quadrinotata is absent (the sequence downloaded from GenBank coincides with Siberian samples by 99.35%). Nevertheless, I suppose, this is also an incorrect identification of C. amoenaria. C. amoenaria is not recorded for China (Han et al. 2012; Beljaev 2016). Thus, the distribution area of this species also includes Northern China (Beijing Shi).
