Introduction for the DataCite Webinar "DOIs for Research Software: Increasing Visibility, Connectivity, Citability" about Software as a first class output in the scholarly ecosystem. The presentation includes the following topics: Software in academia as a pillar of Open Science What is #ResearchSoftware? Why? Use cases in the scholarly ecosystem How to archive any software with Software Heritage? How to reference & cite software artifacts with SWHIDs? How SWHIDs are complementary to extrinsic identifiers (DOIs)? What about the metadata?
