Abstract

This Briefing summarises advice given to Member States in "structured dialogues" with Member States as part of their preparation of draft Strategic Plans, for the next Common Agricultural policy. Despite the unrivalled promise of agroforestry to help farming deal with its own GHG emissions, add much-needed resilience to fields and landscapes, and to provide additional revenue streams to farmers … it is totally missing as a term from the Commission's recommendations to 16 Member States.. “Agro-ecology” is also missing from 21 national recommendations - despite being a keyword used in the Green Deal.
