COMPARISON OF ANIMAL NAMES USED IN SOME TURKISH DICTIONARIES OF THE XI-XIV CENTURY

Abstract

The article contains a lexical-semantic analysis of the words related to the names of animals found in some ancient Turkish dictionaries, such as "Devonu lug'otit turk", "At-tuhfatus zakiyat fillug'otit turkiya" and "Muhokamat ul lu'atayn", The fundamental and partial differences of the animal names listed in the dictionaries are observed in terms of the number of names found in the works.
