Abstract

Das im Rahmen der Digital History Tagung 2023 veröffentlichte Poster stellt das Projekt "Wohntopographie" des Akademienvorhabens „Anpassungsstrategien der späten mitteleuropäischen Monarchie am preußischen Beispiel 1786-1918“ und der DH-Abteilung TELOTA der Berlin-Brandenburgischen Akademie der Wissenschaften vor. Die Wohntopographie stellt die Wohnorte von Mitgliedern des preußischen Königshofes und ihrer Nachbarn während des 19. Jahrhunderts dar, um so mit Hilfe digitaler Methoden die räumlich-soziale Integration des preußischen Hofe im Berlin des 19. Jahrhunderts zu untersuchen und mögliche Kontaktpunkte und Verflechtungen zwischen Hof und Berliner Stadtgesellschaft abzubilden. Das Poster betrachtet den Ablauf und die Innovationspotenzial der dazu erstellten Geodaten und ihrer webbasierten Kartenvisualisierung gegenüber statischen Datenvisualisierungen in den Geschichtswissenschaften. Die Wohntopographie versteht sich als Teil einer aktuellen Entwicklung in den DH, in der vermehrt Projekte entstehen, die sich durch Offenheit der Daten sowie Interaktivität auszeichnen
