The investigation method of this study is based on the automated extraction of metadata from re3data. We sought to carry out an exploratory and descriptive study regarding the international scenario of research data repositories available in re3data. The development of the method required the application of knowledge inherent to the techniques and technologies used for descriptive data analysis, for information retrieval, for manipulation, analysis and visualization of networked data. As a result applied to the method, three scripts in python 3.11 are presented for collecting metadata from re3data and scripts for converting metadata to view visualization in software such as Vosview, a data set with descriptions of repositories and conversions for visualization of networks.
